General Information
  • MRA has put in place a system for e-filing of Tax Resident Certificate (TRC) with enhanced security features through the MRA Website. Applicants are required to use their User ID (Login) and password to access the system. Domestic companies and individuals should use the same login details as when filing income tax returns.

  • Applicants accessing the service are advised to use a recent version of Google Chrome, Internet Explorer or Firefox as browser to file their application.

  • It is advised to verify the correctness of the information in the TRC application form before submitting it as no amended application is allowed for the same TRC application. Only the first application sent will be processed. In case you wish to amend your application, kindly contact the TRC unit.

  • The recommendation from the FSC in respect of companies holding a Global Business Licence is required prior to further processing by the MRA.

  • For TRC applications in respect of individuals the validity period should be aligned with the fiscal year (01 July to 30 June)

  • The Tax Resident Certificates will have to be collected at the MRA Reception Desk, MRA Head Office, Ehram Court, Corner Mgr Gonin & Sir Virgil Naz Streets, Port Louis.

  • The MRA may request for additional information and documents prior to issuing the TRC.

  • TRC Service Fee:

    Companies, Trust, Partnerships:

    • CIS: USD 1000
    • Others: USD 200

    Individuals : MUR 1000

  • The payment can be effected as follows:

    • Advanced account which TP maintains with the MRA
    • Adhoc payment facility through Mauritius Network Services (MNS) (USD only)
    • Bank Direct Debit (MUR only)
  • Payments should be made within One month from date of application or date of FSC recommendation.
